It’s a Large Shrub to medium Tree which grows readily at the coast, as well as in moist mountain valleys .The fibres of the inner bark are very strong and provided the most important source of every day cordage. The fibers are extracted from the Bark by Retting.
Medicinal Uses: The Bark and roots may be boiled to make a cooling Tea to COOL FEVERS,Congested Chest and in child Birth ,Flowers have laxative properties.This particular Species is Conserved and Propagated in ECO HERBS SUGANDHAVANAM NURSERY.
