Kattu iluppai [Madhuca indica]


The species is globally distributed in india ,Myanmar&Srilanka,within india its found almost through out up to an altitude of 1200M.in mixed ,more in dry deciduous forests on rocky&Sandy soils.it is planted in the plains of northern peninsular india
Medicinal Uses:The Flowers, fruits&Bark is used in the form of juice decoction to treat intrinsic ,haemorrhage,sprue,thirst,eczema,cyst,fracture,eye diseases,hiccough,vomiting etc. This Particular Species is Conserved and Propagated in ECOHERBS SUGANDHAVANAM NURSERY.
