Aalamaram or vatakatiyamaram [Ficus bengalensis L]


Globally the species occurs in India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Now it is widely planted as an avenue tree, in many regions. Within India, it occurs throughout up to 1300 m altitude and is planted extensively. This species is globally distributed throughout the moist and dry deciduous forest regions and plains of South Asia up to an altitude of about 1200 m. Within India, it is found from the sub-Himalayan hills in the north to Peninsular India.This particular species is Conserved and Propagated in ECO HERBS SUGANDHAVANAM NURSERY.
